Sun Zhenping attends opening ceremony of training program for Thai administrative court judges
On March 16, the first training program for judges of Thailand’s administrative courts started at China’s National Judges College in Beijing.
Sun Zhenping, director of the Political Department of China’s Supreme People's Court (SPC), and Suchat Mongkollertlop, vice-president of the Supreme Administrative Court of Thailand, attended the opening ceremony and delivered remarks.
Sun noted that the Belt and Road Initiative proposed by China has further strengthened the longstanding friendship between China and Thailand. China has achieved notable achievements and accumulated valuable experience in building digital courts, Sun said, adding that the theme of the training program, “empowering administrative justice: e-courts and digital court technologies — insights from China”, demonstrates the importance of enhancing judicial exchanges and promoting mutual learning among civilizations in the information age.
Sun said that the SPC is willing to actively share its experience in digital court development with its Thai counterparts, joining hands with Thailand to deepen mutual trust in the judiciary and consolidate shared understandings on the rule of law.
Participants in the program, along with officials from the National Judges College, also attended the event.
