Zhang Jun urges judicial collaboration to support healthy development of private economy
Zhang Jun, president of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC), held a meeting with Shen Ying, executive vice-chairperson of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC), to discuss strengthening collaboration in promoting the healthy and sustained development of the private economy.
Zhang expressed appreciation for the ACFIC’s long-standing support and emphasized the effective collaboration measures taken by courts and the ACFIC in promoting the sound development of the private economy in recent years.

Noting that the private sector is a vital force in advancing Chinese modernization and serves as a key foundation for high-quality development, Zhang stressed the importance of fully implementing the Private Sector Promotion Law. Courts nationwide are committed to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of private businesses and entrepreneurs, and upholding equal protection through fair and impartial justice, he added.
He called for joint efforts of the SPC and the ACFIC in strengthening the coordination mechanism for diversified dispute resolution, supporting mediation and enhancing judicial confirmation procedures to resolve disputes within the industry and at the source.
He also proposed further cooperation in initiatives such as the creation of a case database for diversified dispute resolution and organization of legal training programs for private entrepreneurs. These efforts aim to foster a law-based business environment and support the compliant, stable, and high-quality growth of the private sector, he noted.
Shen commended the SPC for its robust backing of legal advancement within the private sector, recognizing its dedication to ensuring equal protection for all market entities and promoting fair judicial practices. She emphasized that ACFIC will continue to deepen cooperation with the judiciary to implement the Private Sector Promotion Law, support legal compliance among private enterprises, establish modern enterprise systems with Chinese characteristics, and promote high-quality, sustainable growth of the private economy.
The meeting was also attended by ACFIC vice-chairmen Fang Guanghua and Qi Xiangdong, SPC Vice-President Gao Xiaoli, and Liu Guixiang, a standing member of the SPC’s Adjudication Committee, as well as representatives from relevant departments of the SPC and the ACFIC.
