Zhang Jun meets with president of Italy’s Supreme Court

Zhang extended a warm welcome to Cassano and her delegation, emphasizing the longstanding friendship and inter-civilization exchanges between China and Italy.
He said that, under the strategic guidance of leaders from both countries, the bilateral relationship has maintained a healthy and stable development, with deepening cooperation across various fields.
Noting this year marks the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy, Zhang said Cassano's visit will further deepen the friendly relations between the judiciaries of the two countries, ushering in a new chapter for exchanges and cooperation.
During the meeting, Zhang briefed the delegation the progress of judicial reform in China, highlighting the active measures that Chinese courts have taken to prevent and resolve disputes, strengthen adjudication management in accordance with legal principles, deepen judicial system reforms, and apply modern technologies in judicial practices.
China is willing to enhance judicial exchanges with Italy to support cooperation in various fields and bring bilateral relations to a higher level, he said.
Cassano said the meeting was candid, friendly, practical and efficient as both sides reached consensus, enhanced friendship, and clarified areas for future cooperation.

She said she hoped that high-level exchanges between the supreme courts of Italy and China will facilitate communication among judicial officers, promote deeper exchanges between courts at all levels, and foster more practical cooperation.
Cassano and her delegation also visited the China Court Museum, the SPC Laboratory for Digital Courts, and National Judges College.
