Enforcement actions live-streamed in Shandong province
A live streaming event themed on "Secure a Decisive Victory in Resolving the Problem of Difficult Enforcement" was held on Nov 29.
The program focused on special enforcement actions, part of in Qingdao's 3-months' winter enforcement campaign.Five trials were live streamed for nearly two hours, gaining more than 1,500 hits.
Li Fangmin, secretary of the Leading Party Members' Group of the Qingdao Intermediate People's Court, opened the session through a remote video system.
Police officers at the high and intermediate courts in the city set off to enforce 207 judgments after receiving the signal.
The five selected cases were tried by the Nanqu People's Court, Licang District People's Court and the Huangdao District People's Court in Qingdao and the Jiaofdong Municipal People's Court.
The cases were related to rentals, pre-sale commercial residential contracts and real estate disputes.
Through the live show, audience were able to watch case enforcement and the preparation and daily work of staffs at the courts, which improved people’s understanding of judicial work and raised their judicial awareness.
According to the local courts, of the 207 cases enforced in the action of the winter campaign, 175 were related to people's livelihoods. Forty-one cases were concluded and involved more than 50.58 million yuan ($7.35 million). In 15 cases the parties reached agreement through mediation.
The winter actions are intended to safeguard people's legal rights and give them a stronger sense of fulfillment.
The live streaming was sponsored by the information bureau and the executive office of the Supreme People's Court, the Shandong High People's Court, Qingdao Intermediate People's Court and Shandong TV.
