China, Russia promote judicial cooperation through video meeting
Russia will send a delegation to the Hangzhou Internet Court in Zhejiang province, according to the Supreme People's Court (SPC).
The consensus, together with other related issues, was reached at a video meeting held between Yang Wanming, vice-president of the SPC and Pyotr Serkov, first deputy chief justice of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation, on Nov 8.
The supreme courts of China and Russia established a video meeting mechanism to increase judicial cooperation at the Silk Road (Dunhuang) International Forum on Judicial Cooperation in September 2017.
Serkov spoke highly of the video meeting mode and expressed his willingness to work together with the SPC to increase cooperation and promote the relationship between the two countries. At the meeting, the two sides reached an agreement on a visit by a Russian delegation to the Hangzhou Internet Court for judicial exchanges.
