NPC deputies encouraged to raise people's respect for judicial work
A delegation of deputies to the National People's Congress was encouraged to support enforcement and raise the public's respect for judicial processes during their visit to the Yunnan Provincial Higher People's Court on Nov 6.
The 18 deputies, all from private enterprises, inspected the litigation service center, command control center and cloud data center at the High Court of Yunnan Province.
A report on resolving the problem of difficult enforcement was made by Li Shaoping, member of the Leading Party Members’ Group and vice-president of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC) during the inspection.
According to Li, courts at various levels have taken steps to resolve difficult enforcement issues by deepening judicial reform, launching intelligent courts and improving adjudication mechanisms following the principle of providing better judicial service for the people.
He called on the NPC deputies to inspect courts and voice their concerns about judicial work.
Li also expressed his wish to see deputies help to improve the public's respect for judicial adjudication and the courts' work.
In the next 4-day inspection, the delegation will visit the Intermediate People's Court of Yuxi, the Chengjiang People's Court and the Eryuan People's Court to inspect their work on enforcement, construction of litigation service centers and intelligent courts. They will also examine the courts' protection of the environment and give overall suggestions for reinforcement and improvement of services.
