SPC vice-president meets attorney-general of Panama
Yang Wanming, vice-president of the Supreme People’s Court (SPC), met in Beijing on Aug 27 with Attorney-general of the Republic of Panama Kenia Isolda Porcell Diaz.
Yang welcomed the Panama delegation, explaining the basic situation of Chinese courts and the progress of China’s judicial reform.
Currently, the Chinese courts are comprehensively deepening judicial system reform, Yang said.
By implementing a strict judicial responsibility system, promoting the reform of case-filing and trial-centered criminal procedures, and advancing the building of the four major platforms for the disclosure of judgment documents, trial procedures, enforcement information and court proceedings, the judicial efficiency and credibility of Chinese courts have been continuously improved, he added.
Yang expressed his hope of further exchanges and cooperation in judicial circles between China and Panama to enhance understanding of each other’s judicial systems and push for continuous progress of bilateral relations.
Porcell Diaz showed her gratitude for the meeting, saying that she is willing to strengthen exchanges with China, deepen judicial cooperation between the two countries and develop friendly cooperation in all fields.
