SPC senior official meets Finnish top court delegation
Xu Jiaxing, head of the political department of China’s Supreme People’s Court (SPC), met with a delegation from Supreme Administrative Court and Supreme Court of Finland on June 5.
The exchange of visits by grand justices of the two countries' top courts and the opening of the first Sino-Finnish judicial roundtable meeting in 2017 have helped push bilateral judicial cooperation to a new high, Xu said.
The delegation also attended the Sino-Finnish judicial seminar related to the environment. The seminar can help implement consensus reached by the top courts of the two countries in strengthening judicial cooperation, according to Xu.
Xu also said that SPC is willing to keep close contact with the Finnish side and work towards bilateral judicial cooperation.
He also outlined the general condition of China’s environmental resource trials and administrative trials to the Finnish side.
Kari Kuusiniemi, Vice-president of Supreme Administrative Court of Finland expressed his gratitude to Xu for the meeting and said he hopes that the two sides can further discuss judicial topics of common concern for the promotion of bilateral relations.
